The urge to push students toward the right career goals based on their abilities and personalities has led Shagufta to become a career counsellor, motivating and guiding students throughout their career journey.
Need for Career Counselling
Numerous students frequently wonder which course or program they should enroll in because of the various options available. Usually, they make this decision when they are still very young.
However, career counselling has recently helped to simplify this process. A study conducted in 2019 revealed that nearly 44% of students felt the need for career counselling. According to another study conducted on students' knowledge of career options, only seven career options were known to 93% of Indian students. This demonstrates the value of career counselling and how career guidance must be integrated into students' lives rather than treated as an extra.
